...and that's ok!
Panic At The Disco have proven themselves to me with this CD...
I have a new respect for this band, not to mention their current live show is phenomenal!
Feels Like July is home and I'm pumped because I missed them dearly. I'm looking forward to tour stories from the boys later on tonight. Their CD is climbing the Smartpunk.com charts and breached the Top 100! The best part is, it's only a pre-sale!
John Mayer has a blog on a Japanese streetwear site called Honeyee.com. It is probably my favorite blog of all time, and the reason I have a little fan boy crush on him. He is the man, see for yourself. http://blog.honeyee.com/john
That very blog is where I found these little gems we like to call Buseyisms...

you must've been something before electricity
"hey you wanna make $14 the hard way?"
Rodney Dangerfield was the king of the one-liner for a reason. I might compile some of my favorite scenes from sports comedies, but that would be a gigantic post and I don't think the server could handle it.
I want all of my friends to come home from wherever they are because I've been awfully bored lately. I would kill to be in England with Nick and Ryan! On a lighter note, tour is right around the corner and the idea of living in a van with Nick, Albert, Halvo, and Loren is extremely exciting. Lots of adventure and shenanigans, I really can't wait.
No respect,

Straight, No Chaser
Today is a Thelonious Monk day for me. it's beautiful out, my office door is open and I'm recovering from an eventfully awkward weekend with a bottle of apple juice. 100%, none of that concentrate.
I'll never forget the old clarinet player who used to stoop up behind my dorm in Providence and play his heart out. He was never any good, he just wanted to play for people. Now granted, his audience was the drunken student body on their way to and from the routine club scene carefully placed two streets away from our residence; it didn't matter to him, he just wanted to be heard. I often sat on the curb next to him to hear him play.. mostly improvisations, sometimes clips of real songs.. it didn't matter to him. One night on my way back from a shitty night with shitty people I asked him to play some Monk. Sure enough, he breaks into "Round Midnight," my favorite. It might've been the booze but it sounded perfect to me. He wasn't homeless despite common misconception, nor would he accept any money for fulfilling my request; I think he was just happy I was there. I sincerely hope he is still playing every night.
It's funny to think about now as I type this but I was never into jazz until Hey Arnold aired on Nickelodeon. I always said I wish I had a friend like Gerald... the dude had soul.
Britton and I are talking about creating a new agency.. still smoothing out details and what not, but i have a lot of faith in this project. I'd like to bring back my old graf name for this one... who knows what will come of it? here is a little sample of some possible identity work...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICK SANTINO!!!

i need a suga momma
so i mentioned a Morrissey shirt i wanted on my birthday that i saw on Tony from the Hundreds' photo blog... well it turns out that it is a Hundreds tee, but a piece from the Rosewood Collection... as in you have to go to their Rosewood location to get it. who in Cali wants to get me one? i have paypal!
here is a much better picture...
i saw these on High Snobiety today and my jaw dropped. i've been "out" of the sneaker collecting game for a bit, but these are a completely different story. I NEED.
Junya Watanabe is by far my favorite designer of today. if i had the money, i'd be decked out in nothing but Comme Des Garçons. word on the streets is that Comme Des Garçons is going to be co-designing the H&M mens fall line. perfect for all of us has-beens and never-was's who are currently ballin' on a budget.
here are my favorites from Watanabe's upcoming Fall '08 line
i'm extremely influenced by fashion. a lot of my ideas and designs are what Watanabe is putting into fruition now. i'd love to meet him and gain some insight.
i should really start drawing and sewing more.

i've come to wish you an unhappy birthday...
thanks for all the kind birthday wishes. i am 20 today... so odd.
these are my sidearms...
i've been on a moz kick for the last few months. he is excellent.
if you follow tony from the hundreds' photo blog you will know what i am talking about, but apparently him and his friends (?) are making morrissey shirts?? here is the best pic i could find of it...
i know it says "i would go out tonight, but i haven't got a stitch to wear." well needless to say, i rock a size small and would kill for this shirt. if you know anything about, hook a fool up!
tune in tomorow for the legend of Quentin Cain!!

FRIDAY:
i spent the day in new hampshire where chris albert & the affective collective played a 4th festival. aside from the venue, albert and the boys did exceptional.
once i got back to taxachusetts, i hit up the city to catch the fireworks at the esplinade. i was never blown away by a fireworks display until i saw this one. they had these fireworks that looked like god covered the sky in gold glitter... nothing gold can stay!!!
headed back to the loop to meet up with the squad for the night's raging. stunnaman from the pack was in town with his boy johnny, repping ther line EZ. they rolled out with us to a party on mass ave. a few stoops away from the party, stunna and colby got in some wild beef with a crew of natives. the dudes were talking tough and flashing guns, cops everywhere, but then one of them says "oh shit, ain't you stunna from the pack?" beef squashed.
the party was ill! lots of good people and vibes. we had sing-alongs to the smiths, integrity, daft punk, mgmt, you name it. yeah it was confusingly epic.
dexter has a sweet daft punk tattoo that rickstaaa shit himself over...
SATURDAY:
more raging and good times with the loop crew. said my goodbyes to stunna and johnny, hopefully i'll be running into them again soon.
SUNDAY:
spent the day with hometown friends and good old-fashioned bbq! perfect summer day/night. got to spend the day with nick who i'm not going to see until august when we leave for tour. bummer. he is in nyc shooting his interview and performance for TRL thats going to be aired on thursday. watch it!!!!!!!! nick is doing bigger things than anybody else i know.. you'll be hearing more and more about these things very soon.
that was a hoot!

hear ye, hear ye!
i've been so frustrated since i was old enough to think globally about the state of america. i feel like every other country is just looking at us and shaking their heads in shame. i could go on and blame the bush administration for all of this, but it would be unfair, considering we the people are the reason he has the job he does. he is a fuck-up, that is obvious. what will it take for america to wake the fuck up and realize that the rest of the world doesn't need to be policed by us when we can't even police ourselves?
i was reading the rolling stone interview with chris martin of coldplay and he mentioned his thoughts of having a global election for the us president. imagine every member of the world casting their vote on who they think should run our country? it should not be something to imagine, it should be common practice. i know that outside opinion affects my day-to-day life strongly and anybody would be lying if they said it didn't. america is so bad at taking criticism that instead of taking it to positively change, we outcast the country and deploy troops.
i stopped reading newspapers and watching american news, instead i listen to the BBC media player, because i want real news, not which hollywood celebrity is getting botox. i need to start travelling abroad and see the rest of this world. i'm always so intrigued by meeting people from other countries and i'm never shy to ask their opinion of our nation and i can not help but to agree with how ignorant we are.
restore diplomacy. clean up our image. it isn't too late. think globally. UNITE! forget the past, lets just make a change, it has to start from within.
this is sounding the alarm,
bam
i sincerely believe that obama as a president will be a big step in cleaning up our image and diplomacy.
